Forsworn and seven years ago, our forefathers brought forth upon Steam a new roguelike, conceived with turn-based combat and cooperative multiplayer... Ahem! That's Forsworn, a new 3-player game from Sacramento-based indie developer Resummon Studios. It's out now on Steam, I swear it! I swear it, I swear it, I swear it.
Official description:
Build powerful party synergies and fight through unforgiving battles as you explore and save a realm torn apart by divine war. When one run ends in death, resurrection begins the next.
Embrace scaling difficulties that add new layers of challenges, from random modifiers added to enemies to map-wide trials that affect the entire encounter. Each run and encounter will be fresh as you try out different party builds.
Features:
- Fight Solo or Together: Lead your champions solo or team up with up to two friends online, with all players playing simultaneously for fast and tactical battles.
- Build Your Party: Choose heroes, unlock abilities, equip items, and shape your team across each run as you aim to create game-breaking combos.
- Make Every Run Count: Learn from defeat, collect Soul Shards, and return stronger than ever before as you create endless hero builds.
- Unleash Ultimate Abilities: Charge powerful hero abilities through attacking, casting spells, or defending, and use them to turn the battle in your favor.
- Choose Your Challenge: Enter the world of Forsworn in two primary game modes (Roguelike Adventure and Endless Arena) across five difficulties that add new layers of challenges, from random modifiers added to enemies to map-wide trials that affect the entire counter. Each run and encounter will be fresh as you and your friends try out different party builds.
This seems like a well-crafted co-op title for strategy fans. Three player support is better than two!
Forsworn costs $15.99 on Steam. It's on sale for twenty percent off until Thursday, September 24. Hurry up and get it, and no swearing!
