For the most part, it's fair to say that GameStop doesn't really side with gamers very often. Ridiculously low trade-in values, bonus content missing from used games, trade-in and pre-order credit not transferrable between stores, clueless employees, etc. marr the shopping experience.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars hits the Nintendo DS this week, and with it comes a game with a 2 player co-op mode playable via local wi-fi. Players can work together as Jedi combining powers to perform unique attacks.
One of the key titles in this year's PS3 holiday lineup is Resistance 2. Many features we love here at Co-Optimus have been implemented, such as an 8 player co-op campaign and local split screen co-op. However, it appears there are some serious issues with the latter. In case you've been hiding under a rock the past few days, and haven't checked out our banner, we're a little bit excited about the release of Gears of War 2 today. In keeping with the theme, then, I decided to go with a classic that was similar in tone to Gears 2. Perusing the list of classics in our database, I found Rush'n Attack. I'm sure there are closer matches to Gears of War, but both games feature macho soldiers, a variety of weapons, and, well, war. I downloaded the demo off of Xbox Live Arcade, and tried it out for a bit. That experience is the focus of Co-Op Classics this week.
If you pre-ordered Left 4 Dead from Gamestop or Steam, you should have gotten a demo code by now. If you didn't get one yet, you might need to fire off a few nastygrams.
