Our Weekend In Gaming: Back In Action

The Co-Opticrew is back in action this weekend and, wouldn't you know it, we're planning on playing even more video games.  That's right, we're grown adults capable of making our own decisions, and if those decisions revolve around careening through space or obliterating fighting robots, then so be it.  Maybe one day, we'll have a weekend filled with yard work and reviewing our grocery budgets, but until then, you know where to find us.

Actually, can you super size that?

Our Weekend In Gaming: One Long Weekend, Please

Most of the Co-Opticrew has an extra long weekend coming up, and we aren't about to let it go to waste.  You won't find us groggily staring at a blank Netflix screen at 3AM, no sir.  Nobody's gonna catch us lying in a pile of Four Loko cans while Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi" plays faintly from a nearby 6-disc CD player.  Not a chance.  We've got work to do, and by "work to do", I mean "video games to marathon through."

Our Weekend In Gaming: Microeconomics

While financial experts around the world are working out just how badly the pandemic will affect the global economy, the Co-Opticrew has taken it upon themselves to bring about their own miniature economic investigation.  First, we're taking an in-depth, undercover look at the safety conditions of dwarven miners.  Then, we'll be figuring out how a monetary system is in any way possible on a remote island with approximately ten inhabitants.

Are we sure it's not Tuesday again?

Our Weekend In Gaming: Wait, what?

Let's be real with each other.  I'm not positive what time of day it is right now, and I'm definitely not sure if it's Friday.  The Co-Opticrew seems to be responding to my investigatory "Weekend in Gaming" email positively, though, so I'll take that as a sign that I'm in the right half of the week, at least.  As time continues to blur and meld into one interminable day, I'll try to keep things straight with our weekly(?) get-togethers.

Our Weekend In Gaming: As The World Turns

Gears are turning around the world as folks create plans for re-emergence, but Co-Optimus HQ is still buckled down for the foreseeable future.  That's not the worst situation, though, as there are plenty of new games to sink our pale, sterile claws into.  Maybe when summer rolls around, we'll start looking wistfully out our windows again, but for now, things are golden.

We came, we saw, and also a third thing.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Sweet Victory

Victory reigns supreme this weekend at Co-Optimus HQ.  Whether it's a cross-country move or a really hard platformer, we've met the task head-on and thoroughly conquered it.  Unless, that is, you include bonus DLC, like extra levels or all the things that need to be done after a cross-country move.  As a matter of fact, we may need to cancel that all-night celebratory rager.  We've, uh, got some things to take care of.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Shake It

The Co-Opticrew is both movin' and shakin' this weekend, and we won't stop until we get what's rightfully ours.  On the movin' front, that means a new house and a new life.  Shakin'-wise, we're looking for an ungodly amount of fruit (and hopefully none of those dadgum wasps).  Be on the lookout for our next weekly check-in to see if we achieved either of those things.

Some delays for FFXIV and Elder Scrolls Online, a seasonal event for Star Trek Online

MMO Co-Opportunities Volume CX: Content Delays and First Contact Day

Loads of people right now are working from home and staying inside playing games (including the Co-Optimus staff). MMO studios are in the same boat, meaning that we’ll see some delays in the coming weeks and months for content related to MMOs. At the same time, they’re doing their best to keep us entertained by offering their regul...

Our Weekend In Gaming: Cold Turkey

The Co-Opticrew is cleaning up our act this weekend.  We've spent far too long wringing the last droplets of enjoyment out of some recent releases, and honestly, it's starting to look a little sad.  Just imagine what our grandchildren would think if they heard about the time their dear old grandparent was found sobbing next to an empty DOOM Eternal case.  I shudder at the possibility.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Self-Isolation Blues

The days are starting to blend together here at Co-Optimus HQ, but based on my series of chalk lines homemade calendar, I think the weekend is about to start.  There was a small blip of game releases that happened a few weeks ago, and it seems that the Co-Opticrew is trying to wring every last morsel of entertainment out of them.  Hard times, indeed.
