A new game based on the animated movie sounds rad, but will it have co-op?

TMNT: Mutant Mayhem Game Coming in 2024 From Outright Games

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem debuted in theaters over the summer, receiving critical acclaim and launching an extremely successful toy line. Given the popularity of the film (not to mention that of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge), it comes as no surprise that a video game tie-in is in the works. And who is more likely to deliver that game than Outright Games, the English developer responsible for licensed titles like Paw Patrol World and Baby Shark: Sing & Swim Party? Alright, so the Mutant Mayhem game is likely to be targeted at kids, but more TMNT games are always welcome!

The flood gates have been opened!

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for August 2023

Let's face it: The big thing in August was Baldur's Gate III. There is no way to sugarcoat it. This month saw 30XX finally leaving Early Access on Steam, the surprise releases of the QUAKE II-Remaster and Age of Empires IV for Xbox, the addition of local co-op to the founder of a new genre (Vampire Survivors) and even the long-awaited (?) return of a much beloved (citation neededGerman video game icon (TM). But none could overshadow the (fully earned) success of Larian's juggernaut CRPG. Considering how stacked this month was, not just in terms of co-op titles, that's quite a feat.

Spice up your Steam Deck and dock with fancy RGB lighting, why not?

Steam Deck RGB Docking Stations and RGB Backplate Now Available From JSAUX

We're huge fans of the Steam Deck around here. Valve's portable gaming device is only slightly larger than a Nintendo Switch, but it packs a massive punch and can run countless Steam games smoothly. Heck, I recently installed a 2TB SSD in my Deck so that I can take more games with me on the go. JSAUX is a company that produces numerous Steam Deck accessories, the latest of which include two RGB docking stations and an RGB backplate for the Deck itself.

We need a break...

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for June 2023

Oh boy, what a month! The eyes of our Database Master are strained from watching all those showcases, and his fingers are sore from entering everything relevant into our database. The result is a stunning increase of 271 new entries. For comparison: June 2021 only saw an addition of 179 entries. So the amount of co-op fodder announced definitely increased this year, even if we factor out the "normal" releases we are adding each month.

At last, the affordable Xbox console will be available with a decent amount of storage.

Microsoft Announces Xbox Series S Carbon Black 1TB Console

This year's Xbox Games Showcase event featured a number of game announcements but relatively few surprises. One welcome surprise, however, came right at the end of the event. Phil Spencer announced a new version of Microsoft's popular Xbox Series S console that will come in black and feature a 1TB SSD. That's a lot more storage for only $50 more than the regular Series S!

Nothing stealth about it.

Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless Headset Review

Turtle Beach is back with a new headset in their Stealth lineup, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. This time positioning itself as a premium option in the wireless market to compete with the likes of Astro Gaming A50s and the Steel Series Nova Pro. Having tested over a dozen headsets in the past few years, it's becoming harder and harder to see what truly sets these apart from each other.

Getting ready for Not-E3

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for May 2023

June is upon us. Although E3 is once again not happening, the industry as a whole still seems to agree that it is a good month to flood the internet with new announcements. Hopefully we'll get a good amount of co-op fodder, too. We will, of course, keep you posted. Oh, and there is that thing incoming on June 6th called Diablo IV. You may have heard of it.

Of dogs, rats, and lots of co-op stats

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for April 2023

Are you a fan of statistics? No? Oh well, here are some numbers anyway. In April, we counted 38 new co-op-releases on PC, 19 for the Switch, 13 on PlayStation 4, nine on Xbox consoles, and eight that were specifically optimized for PlayStation 5. And our database was expanded by another 111 titles, including all the relevant games from the Knights of Valour beat 'em up-series which was mainly released in Chinese arcades.

The 80s are back!

Co-Op Monthly Round-Up for March 2023

Spring is here (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). The temperatures are rising, the birds are singing, and everyone is storming out the door to frolic outside. So, who is actually playing all those co-op titles that were released this month? Not our Database Manager, that's for sure. He's too busy adding and updating stuff resulting in around 150 new additions to the database this month. But who else is there? Well of course: you, the reader! You and your friends are the rebels that defy the norm and rejoice upon the chance to have a new experience in a virtual world! We salute you, brave people, and we see it as our duty to make sure you always know about your options.
