It's summer time, which means all the new retail games go on vacation and leave us with nothing but backlogs, downloadable titles, and seasonal sales to appease us. Sony is kicking off their week long Summer Sale 2012 next Tuesday. PlayStation Plus members will be able to pick up 11 different titles for 50% off. Regular people will have to settle for a 30% discount.
It's been a hectic week for gaming. Truthfully, the last six weeks have been filled with mayhem. My second child, Player Four, began the big game of life back in January. Since then, finding time to play more frivolous games has become a daily struggle for us. "Struggle" being a relative term. It's not like we're freedom fighters. We're just trying to get our game on without getting baby poo on our controllers. Is that too much to ask? According to Player Three, it is.

Sega knows that nothing says "Happy Valentines Day" like a good two player zombie killfest. The House of the Dead 3 hits the PSN today. If you've got a PS Move, and you like light gun games, this is something you and your special someone may want to look into. We've got some new screens in the gallery below. Don't Lisa and G make a cute couple? This HD remake seems to be a marked improvement over the Wii re-release, 2008's The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. A demo is currently available through the PSN, if you want to take it for a spin.

If you're really smooth you could buy your significant other (or mom) a sweet PlayStation Vita launch title, you know, drop a little hint for the February 15th release of the Vita's First Launch Bundle.
Get your light-guns ready! Or wands, or glowing stick-balls, or whatever the heck those PlayStation Move things are called. The House of the Dead 3 and The House of the Dead 4 are coming to a PlayStation 3 near you. The gory on-rails light-gun shooters have been upgraded with HD graphics, trophies, and Move support. You can use a normal controller if you prefer, but that's kind of like taking a shower in a rain coat, if you know what I mean.
