The world is full of creatively bankrupt fantasy MMOs in the time-honored Everquest/World of Warcraft model. Throw a rock, and you’ll hit approximately a hundred Western/Asian fantasy games that all play alike. Swap art styles and network issues and you’ll have a hard time keeping track sometimes. Every now and again, a game comes along and successfully forges its own identity, and I’m happy to report that The Secret World is one of them.

It's been a pretty slow summer on the MMO front. The two biggest pieces of news that I've found have been the Secret World launching and Guild Wars 2 getting a release date. Let's unravel those now, shall we?
