Tally Callahan - Contributor

Tally is currently a doctorate student in Linguistics because she enjoys unraveling the mysteries of grammar, of all things. In her more normal life, she plays games with her boyfriend and a close group of friends that they consider a guild, but it's more like a bizarre and slightly dysfunctional family. She enjoys nothing more than being part of a team and can often be found filling the roles that make the team stronger and more effective as a whole. She'll roll a priest or monk to your rogue or mage, watch your back while you're defusing the bomb, and be on top of the list for team assists.

Tally got her start on the PC back in 2002 or so and is still most comfortable with the keyboard and mouse set-up. She's a relative newcomer to the whole “new-fangled” console thing, but she's doing her best to make up on lost time (of course prioritizing the co-op console titles that were released in the past few years which she whined at length about not coming out on the PC).

A stylish new color palette for the acclaimed Cloud MIX

HyperX Cloud MIX Rose Gold Impressions

While I’m a big fan in general of HyperX’s gaming headsets, the Cloud MIX is still one of my very favorites. It is by far the most versatile headset I’ve had the opportunity to use, supporting use with a single 3.5mm jack (for mobile devices, certain computers/laptops, and consoles), dual 3.5mm jacks (for computers that support an audio/microphone jack set-up), and Bluetooth connections.

Traditional Alloy framework with new HyperX branded switches

HyperX Alloy Origins Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

If you’ve read some of my other peripheral reviews, you might know that I’m a big fan of the HyperX Alloy series of keyboards. The original Alloy FPS (reviewed three years ago in October of 2016) made me believe that mechanical keyboards weren’t all just hype. Since then, I’ve reviewed the Alloy FPS Pro, the Alloy Elite, and...

A look back over the past 9 years and ~100 issues

MMO Co-Opportunities Volume C: Special Edition Celebrating the 100th Issue

Nine years ago, in the summer of 2010, I began this MMO Co-Opportunities column. As a fan of MMOs, I saw value in highlighting the co-op opportunities (or “co-opportunities”) within individual games. For the first year, I was able to cover one MMO a month, focusing on the unique opportunities I (or my fellow writers) saw within each gam...

Signature HyperX comfort. Wireless. For gamers on a tighter budget.

HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless Review

Like the Cloud Stinger before it, the Cloud Stinger Wireless attempts to bring the best audio experience possible for gamers on a tighter budget. For just shy of $100, the Cloud Stinger Wireless is certainly the least expensive wireless headset in HyperX’s arsenal, and absolutely delivers on its promise of functional, comfortable, and budget-conscientious quality.
