A Look at Blacklight: Tango Down's Weapon Customization

If you read our interview with Zombie regarding Blacklight: Tango Down, you know that weapon customization is a big part of the experience within the game's versus and cooperative modes.  Today we have a development diary that shows us the extent of that experience.

Your standard customization options apply - barrels, scopes, magazines, stocks, etc can all be changed and tuned to affect weapon traits - but there's also a tags option which adds additional perks to your weapons as well as a neat little dangly thing.  Wait, what?  Like fuzzy dice in a rear view mirror, these tags add some fun to your customized gun and make it your own.

In other Blacklight: Tango Down news, the July release list for Xbox Live came out and Blacklight was listed on it for July 7th.  Since that time though Ignition Entertainment, the game's publisher,  has said that an official release date has not been announced yet.  So we're not quite sure what's going on there.  We'll update you with more info as soon as we have it.

Wow, this has flown right underneath my radar. Too bad it's coming out when my summer classes start.

it wrong to say you two play too much Halo?

Waiting for the demo before I decide. But since the Co-op isn't a focus of the game, I think you know my thoughts

i blame my wife. she loves halo and it's hard to get her to play anything else.

but seriously... you can't deny at least the helmet is freakishly similar.

Looks like a full retail game rather than an XBLA game. I'll definitely check it out.
