Blasphemy! New Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 Vids Feature Jumping!

This past June we offered up a preview of Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2.  Many old school fans of the classic NES game cried foul when a jump ability was announced.  The whole point of the original game was the lack of a jump button.  That's why developers gave the gamer a handy dandy bionic arm.  It's even alluded to in the title.

As you can see from the above picture, Nathan Spencer is so distraught about the idea of jumping he's gone Super Saiyan 0.5 over the whole ordeal.  He also grew a sweet mustache, which is probably bionic.

When Bionic Commando: Rearmed was released back in August of 2008, some gamers were turned off by the lack of a jump button.  Those gamers were wrong.  Well, congratulations, gaming's lowest common denominator, you win again!

Two new videos confirm this radically innovative 'jump' feature will be present in the game.  Aside from the jumping, several new abilities are on display, including an uppercut and a 'Nathan Smash' ground pound.  A re-tooled soundtrack also rounds out your previewing experience.  You and a buddy can get in on the Jumping Commando action via local co-op when the game releases early next year.
