New Awesomenauts Hero (or Heroes?) on the Way

We just posted our Awesomenauts review yesterday, giving it a healthy 4 out of 5 in our Co-Op Review. One of our small complaints about the game was that its hero roster was quite small - only 6 heroes currently. It looks like that issue will be addressed soon with at least one new awesomenaut on the horizon.

More Serious Sam Deals on Steam

Man, there's been a lot of Serious Sam news lately. First there was story about Serious Sam 3: BFE and Serious Sam: Double D XXL coming to the XBLA this fall. Then Amazon announced a big sale on Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter and its new accompanying DLC. Not to be outdone, Steam is having their own Serious Sam sale.

Everyone knew that Serious Sam 3: BFE was eventually going to make an appearance on the Xbox 360, but we didn't known it was bringing a friend. That's right, Serious Sam: Double D XXL is coming to Xbox Live this fall, and it will include a two player local co-op mode.

There's a handful of game sales going on this week, the first of which is occurring over on the PlayStation Network for Ubisoft titles.  Included in that sale are co-op games Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Outland.  PlayStation Plus members can get those games for 50% off - or $4.89.  Everyone else can get it for 30% off - or $6.99.  Scott Pilgrim features 4 player local co-op while Outland features two player online co-op.

The Adventures of Shuggy shot to the top of the charts on Xbox Live when it launched last June, and the Steam debut is expected to be the gaming event of the year!

With Diablo 3 mere weeks away, dungeon crawler enthusiasts may be a little focused on keeping their eyes on that prize - but let's not forget that there will still be other dungeon crawlers coming out this year. One such is R.A.W (Realms of Ancient War), which will happily be coming to consoles as well as PC. This is likely great news for players who may be bemoaning their luck that Diablo 3 will only be launching this month on the PC. Developer Wizarbox's latest video focuses on the wizard class, showing off his prowess over the elements.

Over the years Xbox Live Arcade has gone through an evolution. While it started as remakes, re-releases, and every so often an original title it’s now evolved into something different. It’s now a service filled with games that aren’t quite big enough for a full retail product. It it feels like XBLA has lost its identity.

New Dungeon Defenders DLC Available on PC, Old/New DLC Coming to Consoles

Dungeon Defenders, the super popular hack and slash/tower defense hybrid, has had a constant flow of DLC since its launch last fall. Much of the new content; accessories, costumes, and characters, is only available on the PC. However, the four part series, "The Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards," is available on both PC and consoles.

Toy Soldiers: Cold War Launches Two Pieces of DLC and a PC Version

The folks at Signal Studios are releasing not one, but two DLC packs for the action/tower defense game Toy Soldiers: Cold War.  It's a game we scored quite well calling it an "absolute blast" as we played through almost the entire campaign in a 5 hour couch co-op session.  Now after a long wait since the last DLC, we're finally getting some new content to dig our little plastic soldiers into.
