New details have emerged about Charlie Murder, the upcoming music-themed RPG/beat-em-up from Ska Studios. The game has been in development for quite some time, but new details leak out on a regular basis, so we're still pretty psyched about it. Charlie Murder will rely heavily on gaining levels, boosting stats with ability points, and finding/using various pieces of equipment, which includes things like badass Viking helmets, t-shirts, gloves and relics.
Thunder Wolves is coming to Steam in a few short hours. This action/shooter will allow you and a co-op partner to play the roles of pilot and gunner in a variety of helicopters. We have a new gameplay trailer submitted for your approval. I have to say, I'm a little confused as to what sort of tone the developers, Most Wanted Entertainment, are going for.
Coffee Stain Studios has been releasing a steady stream of teaser trailers these last few weeks, getting everyone hyped up for its follow-up to 2011's Sanctum. Combining tower defense mechanics with a first person shooter core, Sanctum was a surprising hit. The sequel takes a slightly different path, riding the action train to Shoot-All-The-Things Town, leaving some of the strategy behind in favor of hands-on alien killing.
Sanctum 2, the sequel to the two-year-old tower defense/FPS crossover Sanctum, now has a release date. In just a week's time (May 15th), Sanctum 2 will be storming onto XBLA and PC for your alien-killing, laser-firing, core-defending pleasure. It should be released on PSN shortly thereafter, but the exact date is currently unspecified.

Get ready to traverse the depths of Hades with four player co-op in God Mode. The fast paced shooter is drizzled in Greco-Roman mythology and makes for a simple, yet beautiful game. You’re not going to be playing God Mode for a long time, but that doesn’t matter because the time you do spend with it will be enjoyable. There is plenty of room in hell for fast-paced action shooters, so if you are looking for some mindless entertainment it's time to turn on God Mode.
The following Xbox update comes straight from Major Nelson himself. Among the upcoming content for the Xbox Live Marketplace are sales on select cooperative games. These titles include Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Dungeons and Dragons: Daggerdale, and The Simpson's Arcade Game. When the games go on sale, if you don't already own them, it might be a good time to grab some buddies and gobble them up. For a complete list of the planned Xbox Live content, take a look below:
Bring along a healthy controller and a friend for this brawler set in the Sacred universe. Features four playable characters, stat-progression, customizable equipment, and a whole lot of button mashing. Some gameplay decisions prevent this game from truly shining in the herd of brawlers floating around. Still, it is an entertaining romp best experienced with two other friends on the same console.
Stepping into the spotlight one by one, a new series of trailers have begun trickling through the intertubes promoting the impending release of the arcade brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. It starts with Michelangelo, who we already know "is a party dude". He also happens to be the youngest and fastest member of the turtle bunch. The trailer below shows off some of his moves, and the image above shows off his ability to induce nightmares.
I know what you're saying, "didn't you just post your review of the game, which I totally didn't skip to the end of, and now I'm all excited to play it on my Xbox?" I'm sorry to say it's sad, but true. The XBLA version of Monaco: What's Yours is Mine is getting a delayed release. News of this came just yesterday afternoon from the official Monaco Facebook page. Not many details are provided as to the cause of the delay - the post merely states "there is an issue which requires that we push our Xbox Live arcade game release date a little" - or how long that delay will be.
An indie game rarely is in development for four years; a variety of concerns (primarily money) would make it difficult for an independent developer to tweak and refine a game for that long. Yet Pocketwatch Games' award-winning and much anticipated co-op title, Monaco: What's Yours is Mine, managed to make it through its long development cycle and finally gets sprung today on PC. Some games spend years in development and fall flat. Monaco, though, is well poised to steal your gaming time.
The console development of Tragnarion Studios' The Scourge Project, dubbed Scourge: Outbreak, has been underway for a little over the past year. This is more than just a straight port of the PC version, though. As we previously covered, Tragnarion is taking the time to make a game that is designed for the consoles, including new gameplay mechanics, a new enemy A.I., improved graphics, and more. The members of Echo Squad from the PC version are still around and the developers are taking the time to introduce us to them. First up is Shade, an Argentinian assassin with a personal vendetta against the Nogari Corporation (aka "Evil Corp 3000").
During the night I had a vision, it came to me in a square of light. This light was the glow of my monitor and the vision was of the God Mode launch trailer. God Mode is already out on both XBLA/PC and will be hitting PSN tomorrow. Mode is a third person shooter that allows up to 4 players to run around like headless chickens. Don't believe me? Then check out the new trailer and info after the break.
If the sixteen co-op titles coming out this month aren't doing it for you, why not check out a few older games on the cheap? The new Xbox Live Arcade Deal of the Week has five better-than-good co-op offerings for 50 to 60% off their regular price. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, and Warhammer 40k: Kill Team are all on sale. Follow each game's link for co-op details.
