Halo Waypoint Launches November 5thSeptember 15th, 2009 at 10:25 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Microsoft's portal into everything Halo will launch on November 5th.  The Xbox 360 channel will be home to exclusive content including podcasts, videos, screens, and events.

One interesting feature of it is said to be a persistent ranking and accomplishment system tied to the Halo games including Halo 3, ODST and presumably Reach when that launches next year.  Waypoint will also host the Halo: Legends Anime series.  For more info on Waypoint you can follow the team on Twitter.

You'll definitely want to keep an eye on this, we should hopefully have some great info regarding Waypoint and Co-Optimus in the near future!

Sometimes we find co-op in the most unexpected ways.  Take the gaming clan Tied the Leader.  A predominately versus clan, the folks cooked up a crazy idea - lets see how many medals we can get in one shot of the Spartan Laser in Halo 3.

The answer?  43.

This Week in Co-Op: Halo 3August 26th, 2009 at 11:41 AM by Jason "OrigamiPanther" Love

Halo 3 is one of those titles that I just never picked up.  Even though I only recently (i.e., within the past year) bought a 360, the latest game in the Halo series wasn’t one that I just had to get hold of right away.  I actually avoided it for as long as possible for a variety of reasons, but a certain someone, along with the price tag that comes with a game that’s close to two years old, convinced me that it was probably time to finally see what folks have been talking about.  Buckle up tight, folks: this week in co-op, we take a day trip to New Mombasa.

Halo 3: ODST Designed for Co-Op Since Day 1August 25th, 2009 at 8:55 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Are you excited for Halo 3: ODST yet?  The hype train is rolling right along, and Arstechnica has a great interview with the game's producer Joseph Staten.  According to Staten Halo 3: ODST was designed with co-op in mind since day 1.

"Every Halo game has been made with co-op in mind. It informs how we build our environments, how we create a scripting system, we have to build an AI that can do with co-op. "

"Every one of our missions was tweaked for two or more ODSTs going through the space. We made sure they had different routes to take, different roles to fill. The city is a great place to run around in with four guys."

I never talk when I play online on COD. No one really says anything worth listening to, or no one talks whatsoever.
