If you’re one of the many players enjoying the beautiful Bungie - Activision love child that is Destiny 2, chances are you were unaware that the ORIGINAL Destiny just had a major content drop on Xbox One and Xbox 360. All of the gear, maps, strikes and so on that Sony paid to keep exclusive are now available on Xbox One and 360… Just in time for the sequel.

Destiny 2 Coming to PC and May Leave Current Characters Behind

The latest expansion for Destiny, Rise of Iron, was barely a week old when there were already some news reports coming out that the next big release for the game, dubbed "Destiny 2" for now, would be changing things up. Not only would the series be making its way onto the PC, but the game may be so different from the original that players would be starting all over again.

Destiny Collection Available Next Month

Just as they did last year with the "Legendary Edition," Bungie will be releasing a special edition of Destiny that will package all of the game's content together in one neat little package. Titled "Destiny - The Collection," the set will include the forthcoming Rise of Iron DLC as well as all the base game and all previously released content.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Space Magic

Don't get me wrong, I know that the wonders of space have been combined with the allure of magic in plenty of fictional works, but it feels like no-gravity wizardry just hasn't been utilized in recent games, at least nothing with a redeemable story.  Luckily for us all, Co-Optimus doesn't just bring people together, it also takes genres and makes 'em get all cuddly.  We've got Nick, Marc, and Eric to thank for all this action, what with their Protoss and their Planeswalkers and whatnot.

PvE Content Detailed for Destiny April Update

Bungie has been putting on some Twitch streams these past couple Wednesdays to show off some of the new content that's coming in the 2.2 update for Destiny. Aside from the holiday themed events and the Sparrow Racing, there hasn't been much in the way of new content for the cooperative shooter since The Taken King arrived last fall. Now, Bungie appears to be making strides to try and bring players back to the game.

Rewards for Destiny's "Refer a Friend" Revealed

A new update for Destiny arrived this week that fixed a few things, added all of the legendary swords to Lord Shaxx's inventory for purchase, and added weapon parts to the Gunsmith's stock for purchase. In addition, keen-eyed players noticed a few new items showing up in those big iPad terminals that are linked to the new "refer-a-friend" feature Bungie mentioned (briefly) in a recent post.

Destiny's Microtransaction Are Here With Its 2.0.1 Update

Microtransactions have been introduced in Destiny with its new 2.0.1 update. It’s been just over a year since the game was released and it looks like Bungie has decided to give its players the option to buy in game items with real money. The in game items can be purchased at the Eververse Trading Company in Destiny’s Tower where the new currency is titled silver. This new shop will offer "Emotes," which is the game's form of in-game gestures.
