Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Launch Trailer

Roll them brass orbs!

Just a few days after the pre-orders and spiffy Gold Edition details were announced, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released a launch trailer for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, the sequel to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Watch closely for some hot four player co-op action.

The core of Temple of Osiris doesn't veer far from Guardian of Light. We've still got swinging over spikes, crumbling platforms that shouldn't be able to float in the first place, grapple gun climbing, brass ball rolling, and plenty of omg-shooting. The video shows off a couple of bosses, including a huge armored beatle and a giant snake that's probably an asp. We're no aspologists, so don't quote us on that last part.

Of course, what excites us the most is the prospect of four player co-op. Temple of Osiris features four characters -- Carter, Isis, Horus, and that Lara lady -- playable in both online and offline cooperative story mode. Drop-in/out is supposed to be seamless, which makes us wonder just how difficult it was to construct co-op level puzzles for the game.

Pre-orders were recently opened up for Steam, PSN and Xbox Live, offering bonus character skins and a ring that increases bomb and weapon range. Amazon pre-orders come with a ring that lowers treasure chest costs, while GameStop orders come with a health regen ring.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is set to release on all three major gaming platforms on December 9th. It supports four player online and offline co-op.
