Prepare Your Forceps, Surgeon Simulator 2 Is Out Soon

Four scalpels are better than one.

I have precisely zero surgical experience, but from what I've gathered through medical osmosis, it seems like an unbearably tense situation, and that's even for people with full control of their limbs.  Imagine, then, how much worse it must be when you have dubious sway over your own body and up to three friends laughing at how much you're screwing everything up.

Luckily, the upcoming Surgeon Simulator 2 eschews tension and consequences in favor of goofs and hijinks, and it's all the better for it.  Come August 27th, you'll get to experience some of that goofiness for yourself when it releases on the Epic Games Store.  This ambitious followup to the original Surgeon Simulator adds a more expansive gameplay experience beyond the original's focus on a relatively simple (albeit hilarious) joke.  There's a storyline, character customization, and even user-generated levels to keep you and your fellow surgeons occupied for hours.

As evidenced in the above gameplay trailer, teamwork, ingenuity, and a ton of dumb mistakes will guide you on the path to victory.  As you and your team of medical professionals improve, you'll explore the depths of "the world’s premier surgery learning centre in Bardnardshire", which will undoubtedly lead to even more complex surgical trials.  Presumably, your group will be up to the task, but if not, what's a mutilated body or twelve?

Surgeon Simulator 2 is currently looking at a PC-only release, and its online co-op will support up to four players.
