Medieval Dynasty Gets Online Co-op on Steam

Build a medieval village, hunt, and gather resources with friends!

Medieval Dynasty, the medieval survival simulation from Render Cube and Toplitz, has been in early access since 2020, and leaving EA in 2021. Over the years, the game has grown quite a bit, but the latest update is its most significant. It adds a whole new map, playable female characters, and 4-player online co-op. The update is only available on Steam right now, but it will arrive on current-gen consoles and other PC storefronts next year.

Here's an abridged version of the latest patch notes:

  • Co-op mode (Oxbow exclusive)
  • New map - the Oxbow (Oxbow exclusive)
  • New storyline (Oxbow exclusive)
  • New side quests (Oxbow exclusive)
  • New generic quests (Oxbow exclusive)
  • Character creator (Oxbow exclusive)
  • Playable female character (Oxbow exclusive)
  • Female player's husband can take care of an infant (Oxbow exclusive)
  • Ability to romance and marry men as a female character (Oxbow exclusive)
  • New flirting dialogue lines (Oxbow exclusive)
  • New gifts for men (Oxbow exclusive)
  • "Notice board" quests in the main village in the Oxbow (Oxbow exclusive)

The update seems to add a lot of fun things for friends to do together in their own medieval world. We'll try it soon and report back!

Medieval Dynasty sells for $34.99 on Steam (currently the only co-op version), Xbox Series S|X, and PlayStation 5. There are also $29.99 Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, but those versions won't be getting the co-op update. Both Xbox versions are available on Xbox Game Pass, though, so be sure to try the (currently single-player) game while you can!
