Mac Version of Civilization V Dated, Steamplay Unconfirmed

Aspyr Media have announced that it will be publishing the Macintosh version of Civilization V.  The PC version was released this past September with three player co-op support, while the OSX version is being slated for November 23rd - just in time for Thanksgiving in the US.  Now you can use your turkey induced coma to conquer nations!

Right now you can pre-order the game directly from Aspyr in either digital or physical forms, in doing so you'll be entered to win an autographed copy of the game.  There wil also be other ways to win an autographed copy of the game without pre-ordering - but you'll need to keep up with the company's  Twitter, Facebook  or Blog.

One thing that Aspyr isn't confirming right now is Steamplay support.  This would allow owners of the PC version of the game able to download the game via Steam to their Mac for free.   According to a Twitter message they are "still working with Valve on a Steam release strategy."  It definitely seems like the game will still utilize Steam, a message on the @Civ5Mac account which stated the game WILL have Steam support.  It just sounds like we won't have the valuable Steamplay support.
