Earlier this year, we brought you the news that the upcoming sequel to de Blob would include a rudimentary two player co-op mode. Described as being similar to that of Super Mario Galaxy 2, the co-op allows a second player to control Pinky, who can only interact with the game in limited ways: slowing down enemies, disarming traps, that sort of thing. Obviously that's not ideal, but it means de Blob 2 might be a great game to play with younger kids.
This time around, the game isn't limited to just the Wii; it's coming out for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and even the DS too. An official "announcement" trailer has been released, and confirm's de Blob 2's release as February 22. I'm cautiously optimistic about this one; the game looks funny and the high-def makeoever is gorgeous, but the nerfed 2 player co-op might be a deal breaker. Check out the trailer and decide for yourself.
