This week saw a new co-op release to Nintendo's WiiWare platform.  The game is called BitBoy and is from small developer BPlus.  

This month we're taking the Activision's Call of Duty: World at War for a spin on the PC.  We'll be playing the campaign mode in co-op as well as the ever popular Nazi Zombie mode!  With any luck the latest patch will be out providing us with a new four player co-op zombie map!

The title may be deceiving, but we do talk a bit about some laptop, or pc, or something. It slips my mind to tell you the truth. Mike and Nick hit up the latest co-op news, including the announcement of a new cooperative MechWarrior title! Say goodbye to cat helmets, sound tracks, art books, and behind the scenes DVDs.  They no longer are the bar for collector's editions of games.  Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has set the new baseline with their Prestige Edition of the game.

The next great Guitar Hero game is on its way, and you'll find it loaded with over 85 tracks of music goodness.  Guitar Hero 5's artists range from Nirvana to Coldplay, and everything in between.  Activision has unveiled part of the official set list today giving you a taste of what you'll be shredding with your friends come this fall.

The more we hear about Borderlands, the more we want it. This time, we get a peak into the gameplay! Games.on.Net interviewed Gearbox about many elements of the game, while showing some very interesting gameplay footage at the same time.

We've read and heard a lot of dissent about the upcoming sequel Left 4 Dead 2, due to stores and Steam in November. Valve's notoriety for expanding the life of their games with free updates and mod support was put in question when the official sequel was announced, and many fans felt that Left 4 Dead 2 would not provide enough new content -- with such a short development turnaround -- to warrant a whole new disc, box, and price point.

Not every Marvel property is a "super hero." In fact, certain characters in the Marvel Universe stand out amongst the usual colorful and powerful cast of characters like Spider-Man and Iron Man. The Punisher has always been about a dark and tragic tale, about a man who's life was ripped from him, therefore giving him nothing to lose. It's surprising that such a violent and dark setting hasn't yielded more video games. Alas, we've been left mostly barren of game's starring Frank Castle. Punisher: No Mercy is a downloadable game for the PlayStation Network built by Zen Studios - but is it better than nothing?

Last month we told you about a different kind of cooperative effort with EA's Battlefield: 1943.  It was called the "Coral Challenge" and the goal of it was to collectively earn 43 million kills in the game between the two platforms to unlock a new map and game mode.  I'm happy to report that it's mission accomplished, as of this morning the game eclipsed the 43 million kill mark in just under 5 days.  

How many times have you sat down with a Metroid style puzzle and thought "I could really use a hand with this." Or, "wouldn't it be cool if there were co-op exploration here?" What about tackling a Castlevania monster, wondering "What if I attacked its legs, and my buddy climbed the beast to puncture its brain?" Shadow Complex, a "Metroidvania" style game, gave us hope that we'd see some co-op like this.

The upcoming PC patch for Call of Duty: World at War will bring the game to version 1.5.  The patch has a host of fixes, many related to the game's numerous co-op modes.  When the patch was originally announced though - map pack #2 was mysteriously missing from its features.  In fact the developers went as far as to explicitly state the map pack would not be included.
