PAX 2012: Medal of Honor Warfighter Hands-On Impressions

While we were partying it up at PAX we managed to get some hands-on time with Medal of Honor Warfighter. We've been trying to nail down any possible co-op details since it was first announced back in February. The good news is that the game will include a compelling single player campaign which explores some of the hardships professional Tier 1 operators (very, very dangerous people) face on and off the battlefield. There will also be several multiplayer modes, one of which uses two man fireteams.

Fuse Previews and Trailer Hits the Web

We recently told you how Insomniac's first multiplatform game, Overstrike, has now become a game called Fuse.  The title refers to a plot point about some alien goo that's since been weaponized by the government.  Unfortuantely that weapon gets stolen and it's up to the Overstrike 9 team to recover.  The renaming of the game was for a multitude of reasons, but one thing hasn't change, and that's a focus on co-op.

PAX 2012: Colour Bind Hands-On Preview and Video Interview

The Indie videogame scene absolutely exploded at PAX Prime 2012.  From the huge Indie Game Mega Booth that occupied a quarter of the hall to various devs going "door to door" showing off their latest game, PAX was a hot spot for indie developers.  One such game we saw was called Colour Bind.  No, that's not a typo.  The game is a gravity and physics puzzle game where players have to get from point A to point B by manipulating switches, jumping over obstacles, and maneuvering objects all while managing up to three directions of gravity.

Redefining Split-Screen Play

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Coming to Wii U With Unique Co-Op Support

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is officially coming to the Nintendo Wii U console when the system launches on November 18th.  Perhaps that's a little surprising, considering the previous Nintendo consoles catered to a slightly different audience, either intentionally or not.  That said, the Wii U version is going to offer something that Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC can't do - couch co-op play out of the box with each player having their own screen.

But what, exactly, does that mean, and how does this new platform for indie games work? This week in Indie-Ana Co-Op, we will take a look at this service, how it works, how it compares to other services out there, and what the indie developer community thinks of it.
