Total War: Rome 2 Pirates And Raiders DLC Launches

It is a well known fact that in order to make your product more marketable to us sad, sad beings on the Internet, you should add Pirates to it. I fall on the "Ninja" side of that conflict, but Ninjas didn't make too many appearances in Italy circa 52 BCE. Perhaps due to the lack of Ninjas, Creative Assembley has announced the "Pirates and Raiders" DLC for Total War: Rome II. A little bit of Pirating never hurt anybody.

Turn Nature Against Your Foes in the Beasts of War Pack for Total War: Rome II

It's no secret that Total War: Rome II had a pretty rough launch. Creative Assembly has been furiously patching the game to high heaven since the week of its release, and they still aren't done trying to fix all the bugs still plaguing the game. Speaking of bugs, they've decided to just embrace irony at the highest level and put actual, physical bugs in the game itself. Scorpions count as bugs, right?

Total War: Rome II to Allow Modding

Do you all remember when Total War: Rome II came out and it was completely jacked up with bugs and required constant weekly patching immediately after release? Yeah, me too. This game is sort of a stain on Total War's otherwise flawless pedigree, and while Creative Assembly is hard at work attempting to fix it, it hasn't come full circle just yet. However, hope glimmers on the horizon. The next patch enables User Modding for Rome II, so if they can't figure out how to make their game good, someone will.

Caesar Invades Gaul on December 17th in Total War: Rome II

Julius Caesar's victories in Gaul made him a hero in the eyes of his men and the people of the Roman Republic, and his crossing of the Rubicon under arms changed western history forever. How would you like to toss a wrench into the gears of time and make sure ol' Julius returns to Rome in a pine box? For anyone who falls on the Barbarian side of the fence comes the new campaign addition to Total War: Rome II, "Caesar in Gaul," launching December 17th.

Total War: Rome 2 Patch II Up and Running

Creative Assembly launched the second patch for Total War: Rome 2 on Tuesday. Restarting Rome 2 will update the game client to the newest version automatically. While the patch does work with current Rome 2 saves, any saves after the patch will be incompatible with previous versions. The patch addresses a whole slew of gameplay, technical, and graphical issues with some tweaks to AI routines and pathing concerns. The full patch notes are available at the Total War Wiki.

Total War: Rome 2 Co-Op Review

The Total War series has always been about huge battles between thousands of troops. It was more about the glamour of ancient battles, the impressive nature of lines of infantry clashing against each other. The rain of arrows down on a group of soldiers or the clash of spears into a line of shielded foot soldiers. But in recent years the series has...

Total War: Rome II Patch Marches on September 6

Creative Assembly has announced the first patch for Total War: Rome II dropping on September 6. AI routines, balance tweaks, and crashes due to hardware conflicts are listed as the top priorities of this initial update. There have been no comments addressing the cause of the rampant co-op desync. The full patch notes will be released on Friday when the patch is available to download.
