Three iconic Double Dragon characters will be getting action figures in 2024.

Double Dragon Action Figures Coming From Syndicate Collectibles

Given that Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons, the latest game in the long-running beat 'em up series, is due out on consoles and PC on July 27, it's fair to say that many of us have come down with Double Dragon fever. A toy company called Syndicate Collectibles is preparing for that fever by revealing action figures of three Double Dragon characters that will be released next year. The toys were shown off at San Diego Comic Con, and they look pretty sweet.

Bubble Bobble Plushies Available in Very Limited Quantities from Strictly Limited Games

Taito's Bubble Bobble series started out in 1986 and remains popular to this day. Bubble Bobble 4 didn't get the world on first (though I like it), but there will be plenty more adventures for Bub and Bob in the future, including the upcoming Puzzle Bobble Everybubble. Merchandise for this series doesn't come to international markets very often, but Strictly Limited Games currently has a bundle of Bub and Bob plushies available to order. Quantities are already shipping and super limited, so don't delay!

Physical Toys Are Done for Starlink: Battle for Atlas

Ubisoft posted a pretty honest and straightforward blog post last week about the state of their "build-your-own" spaceship shooter, Starlink: Battle for Atlas. The initial launch of the title was somewhat surprising as all of the "toys-to-life" games of the past few years have seen a steep decline, but Ubisoft seemed to account for that by offering the option to use physical or digital content in Starlink. It appears, though, that that still wasn't enough to help with the sales as Ubisoft stated they've "made the decision to not release any additional physical toys for the Spring update and in the future."

Next Disney Infinity Set to Include Arena Brawler Co-Op

The next big play set for Disney Infinity 3.0, titled "Marvel Battlegrounds," is slated for release next spring and, as has been the trend thus far with these releases, will introduce a new gameplay mechanic. Specifically, the ability to team-up with friends to duke it out in an arena against other Marvel heroes/villains. The biggest news here is that this mode will support four-player local co-op, a series first.
