While many of us were off celebrating this 4th of July, Ubisoft was dropping free updates for Watch Dogs 2 to make the co-op even better. With the "Party Mode" update, you can now team up with up to three other friends to go all hack-tivist around San Francisco.
While some new Watch Dogs 2 DLC (both paid and free) arrives later this month, bringing with it some new features like a PvP mode and a new Dedsec operation, it's Ubisoft's future plan for added content in which we're interested. Specifically, upping the online co-op player count from two to four.
We're a week away from the console debut of Watch Dogs 2, and Ubisoft took to their blog last Wednesday to lay out their plans for all that post-launch content. If you pick up the Season Pass, you'll get all three of the planned DLC packages and a couple customization options that will let you change up Marcus' look.
Watch Dogs 2 will be available (on the consoles, at least) in just a couple weeks. In anticipation of its impending release, some advanced copies have been sent out to a few folks so they can get hands on with it. Polygon's Nick Robinson captured a few hours worth of the game, including 25 minutes of the game's cooperative play.
The minimum and recommended specs for the PC version of Watch Dogs 2 are out there now. The good news is that the recommended specs aren't that intensive, so most folks who have a fairly recent computer will be in good shape. The bad news is you'll have to wait a couple weeks after the console version hits the market.
Between the interesting opening dance number and the "behind-the-scenes"-ish video for the Assassin's Creed movie, there was some gameplay footage of Watch Dogs 2. During the course of that, there was a very quick mention of the game having co-op so we've done a little digging to find out more.
