Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars Coming Thursday, Cops and Robbers Pack Teased

News
Twitter facebook googlebuzz

Despite a minor disappointment that can probably be attributed to the same guy that designed the Diablo III Care Bears t-shirt, Criterion Games continues to amaze us with their support of Burnout Paradise. The game is officially a year old, and they are still pounding out some great content for this 8-player co-op title.

Via Criterion's Twitter account comes the confirmation that the Legendary Cars pack will be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this Thursday - February 19th.

Also, the Playstation 3 and PC in-game news page has seen the announcement of Cops and Robbers, a new pack that will pit players against each other in a mode that was undoubtedly inspired by the classic Need for Speed titles. No word yet if this mode will reach the Xbox 360 version, but coming from an Xbox user: it would be a crime worth chasing for if it didn't. Yuk, yuk.

Note to Criterion from Jim: I am loving your continued support...please add splitscreen soon! Erm...ahem.

For some weird reason I've got the impression that I'm one of the few people on this website who actually likes this game. I never see anyone posting about meetups or anything.

Last night I played this game for atleast 5 hours, until BioHzrd451 invited me to play some horde in Gears 2.

I think Burnout Paradise is the best arcade racer available right now. And that does not look to change anytime soon, since Criterion are still coming with some really nice DLC for it.

I do play it online, it's just my time is currently being spent heavily on Saints Row 2 and soon with Halo Wars. But I am around if you ever fancy a quick bash, get some of those challenges done.

The only thing about Criterion that amazes me is how they can be talking for one year about how the PC version is going to be great, release YouTube videos of themselves playing LAN, and then release the game with online-only multiplayer. Simply amazing.
