[E3 2019] - Animal Crossing: New Horizons Will Let You Build With Friends

E3 2019 may be over and done, but there are still a few news bits left to cover! The next Animal Crossing game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, was finally revealed during Nintendo's E3 Direct last week, and during their Treehouse Live following that reveal, they showed off a bit of how the game looks/plays. As part of that demonstration, they also announced that there would be a lot of ways to play the game with friends and family.

So over the top, it's basically in space.

[E3 2014] - Sunset Overdrive Trailer and Gameplay Video Looks Nuts

It's safe to say the folks making Sunset Overdrive never intended to make a serious shooter. I mean, setting your game in a world where a tainted energy drink turns people into mutants (that you can then dispatch with a firework-launching flare gun) doesn't exactly suggest "gritty." They even poke fun at the overwhelming number of realistic cover-based shooters in their E3 trailer.

Get the core game and all expansions for a low, low price

AI War Celebrates 4 Years with Bundle Savings, New Expansion

Arcen Games' flagship title, AI War, turns four years old this week. Four years! In today's seemingly "churn 'em and burn 'em" world of games, it's impressive that a title has not only maintained its lifespan for that period of time, but the developers themselves continue to support it and release new content for it. In celebration of this occasion, Arcen is offering a bundle deal of all that content for just $6, including their latest expansion: Vengeance of the Machine. It's easy math. 1 game plus 5 expansions = $6.

Tactical Survival Game The Red Solstice Enters Alpha

Mars. That red planet that floats around with stone faces in the sand, secret alien cities beneath the surface, and a curious little rover scooping up bits of soil. Also, Ironward Game's upcoming tactical survival game takes place there! The studio is currently hard at work on The Red Solstice, a co-op game that supports up to eight players who must work together in order to survive the harsh Martian climate.

Eight player cooperative 4x/god game

Arcen Games' Latest Skyward Collapse Hits Steam Today

[Update]: Skyward Collapse is now available on Steam for less than $5. When we spoke with Arcen Games' Founder/CEO/Lead Programmer/Lead Designer Chris Park last month, he talked about two of their upcoming co-op titles: Skyward Collapse and Exodus of the Machine. Hard as it may be to believe, Skyward Collapse sees its release on Steam this very day, and it brings with it an eight-player cooperative mode. That's a lot of friends to help you create a civilization!

Or is it Panopticon?

Freedom Wars Wants You to Fight Giant Monsters, Cooperatively

Japan Studio recently released a video showing off Freedom Wars (formerly thought to be titled Panopticon), a dystopian action game filled with guns, mechs, and massive enemies. Set in the year 102013, the ruined Earth is essentially a battleground where convicted criminals are sent to fight giant monsters as punishment. And since everyone who commits a crime is found guilty, there's always some sort of epic battle going down.

Snow Biome, Ice Caves, Snowballs and More Coming to Terraria

It's beginning to look a lot like the opposite of Christmas, what with the warm weather and sunshine and all. Terraria doesn't really care what the weather's like, though, and it's going to add a little winter cheer whenever it darn well pleases. Artist Jimmarn recently revealed screenshots showing a snow biome along with underground ice caverns that will be part of the next update. When that update hits is anyone's guess (June?), but it's going to be a massive one.

Expensive statue, exciting game.

Pre-Order Starbound, Possibly Get a Virtual Statue of Yourself

Starbound is an upcoming indie sandbox game designed to be something of a spiritual successor to Terraria. It's filled with all the exploration, building, crafting and character customization features you could ever want, but the real kicker is the addition of randomly generated planets you can inhabit! It's a good thing, too, as your home world was just destroyed by something evil, so you'll need all the space and resources you can get to construct a gigantic death laser of revenge.

Wii U owners shouldn't hold their breath

Minecraft Could See a PlayStation Network Release

A little game called Minecraft could eventually make its way to PlayStation Network. The exclusivity deal between Microsoft and developer Mojang that has kept the console version locked on Xbox 360 will one day come to end, at which point Minecraft lead developer Jens "Jeb" Bergensten said a PSN release would be considered. As for a Wii U version, the official word is "very unlikely".
