Show Off in Tom Clancy's HAWX on PS3 with YouTube Uploads

Have you ever done something completely amazing in a game, and wanted to show someone, or keep it to relive the moment? Halo 3 had some temporary videos, saved as replays for a short time on your Xbox 360, and both Halo 3 and Gears of War allow you to take screen shots, but we've never seen the full ability to record and upload a video without expensive equipment.
Now, in the PlayStation 3 version of HAWX, you are given the power to record, and upload amazing aerial footage directly from your console to Youtube.com. You can prove how you pulled off that amazing stunt, survived against unsurvivable circumstances, or just share something crazy that happened in the game - all from the game's own menus.
It's easy, but don't take my word for it, check out this educational video for the step-by-step process. I can't think of a better way to share those precious "had to be there" co-op moments with friends.

I don't have a sixth sense for moments in which I'm going to do something awesome, and recording hours of footage isn't really an option.
And couldn't they leave out the menus? It doesn't seem too hard to me to stop recording while the user is in the menus, and continue when the game is actually being played.
Just my €0.02.
Watch the tutorial video. It looks like you set the recording and work the camera angles directly from the mission replay.
I don't see anything that tells me that this is a replay. All I see is a tutorial of somebody pausing the game, and start the recording, and uploading it afterward.
Yeah, you're right. For some reason I thought it was a replay.
Just the same, though...it is a cool idea. Maybe not perfect, but then again: as cool as the Halo 3 system is, you can't render your videos for sharing.
Agreed. I remember Bungie saying that the next Halo 3 title update would bring .wmv rendering with it...but I guess that's a discussion for another thread...
