At Long Last, Trine To Arrive On The PSN

Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski October 20th, 2009 at 12:23 PM

We've waited quite some time for Trine to show up on the Playstation Network, and its time has finally come. Nobilis Games has finished the games translation to the PSN, and this Thursday the beautiful 3-player-co-op title Trine will arrive in style.

Product Manager for Nobilis, Olivier Vermeille assures us the wait was worth it, and apologizes for the delay.

"I realize that many of you have been waiting to get your hands on Trine for some time. I’d like to assure you all that we are deeply sorry about this delay. We worked really hard in order to give you the best experience possible playing Trine and we really hope you’ll enjoy it."

October 22nd you will finally get your co-op Trine time from the Playstation Network Store for $19.99, complete with a full set of trophies.

Trine has successfully launched on the Euro PSN - a good sign for those that have given up their North American hopes a few times already.

Too bad its now competing with Borderlands... I think it would have had a better chance if they released it at the same time as the Euro release.

Any idea on the length/replayability of this title? I wouldn't mind another hack-n-slasher for my console, but $19.99 seems a bit steep-ish.

Check out the review of the PC version - that should give you a fair idea.

Sweet! I'll probably pick this up right away. To me, it's better in one way than most of the other co-op releases going on right now, as it can do 3 player local co-op so the whole family can get in on it.

I got a ps3 and all...But I hope this comes out for the 360! I gotta have that rumored online co-op and my achievements!

Not only that, but also kind of Uncharted 2, which I just bought. Not only do I not have the time to play a third game (since I'll have my hands full juggling Uncharted and Borderlands) but I also am not ready to make a game purchase.

Im sure I'll pick it up sometime down the road, when I am in the need of a new game.

I was somewhat interested in this back when the mods reviewed the PC version...but like blake and bob stated, I've got borderlands now, and there's no free time anymore!

@Shadokat

Thx! I'll still wait on this one, perhaps if a price drop by at least $5 is in its future.

Understandable that people are waiting for a price drop now that there are some other big games out.
But for what it's worth, I've played through it on PC, and it's worth every minute. Unfortunately I'm alone in Taiwan at the moment, so I couldn't do the co-op, but the game is BEAUTIFUL, gameplay is quick and fun, while putting forth some puzzles and a light, well-presented story.

You would think they would patch the USB port stuff.. Its just silly to have to unplug stuff that you usually just leave plugged
Yeah but I think it would still be cool!
Thanks for clearing that up! I probably won't buy it though.
I recently picked up a 360 after nearly five years of Warcraft, so... well, I have some catching up to do. My current game libra
