Someone was chewing on some mushrooms, or possibly they just jumped the gun, but when we told you that Left 4 Dead would hit the PlayStation 3 courtesy of EA...we were lieing.  Of course, we didn't mean to lie, who would have thought that magazines could be wrong?  But that's just what happened, and according to Valve's Doug Lombardi, there "is no PS3 version in production."  Why though?

"Left 4 Dead doesn't have that guaranteed appeal yet - it's a new IP.  If Left 4 Dead is big, then we may see a PS3 version later, or if and when we do a sequel, people may be more interested in that."

We'll get back to you next week when this is announced again in another magazine (and then retracted again).
