Resistance Fall of Man 2 features 8 Player Co-Op

News
Twitter facebook googlebuzz

What's better than 2 player Co-Op?  4 Player Co-Op.  What's better than 4 Player Co-Op?  8 Players.  And that's exactly how many friends you'll be able to play with in the upcoming Resistance: Fall of Man sequel on the Playstation 3.

Evil Avatar has the scoop.

  • 8 player, story-driven online co-op
  • Single player campaign is different from co-op campaign
  • 60 player online PvP
  • Classes for online: Heavy, Special Ops, Medic
  • More vehicles, including The Chameleon, a Stalker with full cloak
  • Fall 2008 release

I plan on getting a PS3 in March, so I will be looking forward to getting this game when it comes out this fall.

Great news! Loved playing R:FoM in co-op together with my brother.

I don't own a PS3, but man I'd be tempted for something like this!! You could do a lot with 8 player co-op...

It will be interesting to see how flow will work with that many people playing co-operatively. If they design it in a way that anyone can enter and leave at anytime...it may work...but if you have to restart a level or checkpoint in order for someone can join or leave...it could cause major problems in game flow.
nothing worse than getting 90% through something only to have a friend drop and having to restart or continue on to teh end of the lvl solo to have them rejoin.

You know, this would be interesting if you'd play it with 7 friends. But I can't see it working when you just randomly join people online, there'll always be someone in the team that'll ruin it for the others. Still, great to see that they're taking co-op serious

Yeah man thats true, but you can't let someone else ruin the game for you. Anyway i hope in the future more developers will take co-op seriously... I can't wait on this one!
