XBLA Game Sale

Xbox 360 gamers who enjoy co-op are in for quite a treat this week. Numerous co-op Xbox Live Arcade games are on sale for half of from now through Monday, October 3, including some that we never thought would go on sale (Trouble Witches Neo!).

Here is the co-op sale list. Each game’s title links to its Co-Optimus page so you can quickly find out more about them all.

There’s something for everybody on that list. I picked up Outland, Islands of Wakfu, Trouble Witches Neo, Moon Diver and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. Platformers, action-RPGs, shoot-em-ups, oh my!

Which games will you be picking up from this sale?

Trivia: The developers of the first Bionic Commando Rearmed liked my FAQ so much, they sent me their autographs:

Update: The sale prices on all of these games are open to Silver and Gold members alike, with the exception of Daggerdale. But why the heck would anybody buy that game anyway? :)

Looks like there may be some one off specials on this Friday - I managed to get X Men one time for about 160 points.

My sexy hidden sources!

"These deals are all week and there'll be special one day deals on Friday "

Not 100% sure it will happen, but I trust the guy enough to mention it!

Hmm. Moon Diver looks interesting.

I was just saying a night or two ago I'd grab Moon Diver if it were on sale, guess it's time to back that up.

On a non-coop note Clash of Heroes is on sale this week too, it's a great puzzle-RPG. Claims to have 2player coop but it's really 2v2 online.

Can someone who has Moon Diver confirm whether the second player in local games can save his/her progress and earn Achievements?

@eastx

Only spent a short bit of time with it, plugged in a second controller to check it out.
Progress seems to be universal, when I signed in a second profile they had access to all the same level characters that my own profile did. Progress made by Profile 2 was logged for both profiles the next time I went to pick a character.
Achievements- Didn't unlock any so I can't say for certain but my hunch is only Player 1 can earn them. Top of the screen is each character's status, above the first character it read 'Engineer Seven' but over the second character it just read 'Player 2' even though it was signed into a (Silver) Live Account.

Shardik all of those links do go to our pages for the games, which have co-op details, reviews (where applicable), and any related stories we've done.

Jin, thanks for checking. Had a feeling it was like that.

@jin and eastx

Yeah, that sounds about right. I reviewed the PSN version. It's fun, but the difficulty ramps up about a third of the way through. I break down the co-op on page 2 of the review.

ah, silly me, just popped off the top of my head, I for some reason thought it sent to the page to buy em, which really doesn't make sense.

Turns out my secret source is the 360 dashboard. There WILL be special deals on Friday.

@Samoza
Where did you find it? I can't pull up anything deal related besides the DOTW, which doesn't mention the special sale.

In the UK at least you find the sale within dashboard and then at the top right is some wording like - Sale items this week, plus one off sale items this Friday.

--- Replying to samoza -----Yeah I saw it today. If Moon Diver gets a further discount tomorrow, then I'll most likely buy it.
