August 1st, 2019 is the specific date listed for shutdown, meaning Burnout Paradise's online capabilities will have run for eleven years and six months. Considering how online games seem to disappear as quickly as they arrived these days, that's a triumphant feat. Criterion's tweet offers a bit more detail:

Whilst both the Xbox One games in December's Games with Gold may be single player only, the 360 is here to represent. Burnout Paradise is the type of stone cold classic that remains excellent to play even seven years on. Co-Optimus may have been a little lukewarm on the co-op elements, but I know I have spent countless hours playing the game over the years.

Microsoft stated at the time that the only criteria for being a part of this was for developers to come forward and say they'd like to participate. Criterion tweeted out earlier this month that they are in talks with Microsoft to get this done. Hopefully they're able to get that done as Burnout Paradise was one of the best driving games of last gen consoles.

You priced the best car in the pack double that of the others. That's right, you'll be dropping $4 on your mock-DeLorean car in Burnout. I'd honestly be willing to pay it if these were actual license vehicles, instead of knock off cars.
