Dungeon Siege 3 received some DLC a few weeks ago, entitled “Treasures of the Sun.” We recently got our hands on a review code for it, and for those of you who are interested, we have some impressions to share.
Some of the best co-op experiences come as a surprise and this was the case with Dungeon Siege 3. Despite the issues with the camera and co-op experience, it was still really fun game. However, it lacked something - mummies. This oversight has now been resolved with the newly released Treasures of the Sun DLC available across all platforms.
Dungeon Siege 3 is set to receive some DLC in the coming weeks, which means now is a good time as ever to head back into the kingdom of Ebb and wrap up some of those missing quests and find those rare items. Recently Prima Games contacted me to see if I was interested in checking out their offerings in the realm of digital strategy guides. In the day and age of the internet is something like this even still relevant? Once you fire up one of the digital guides, it's easy to see the production values are signifcantly higher than what you'd find on YouTube or GameFAQs.
Coming this October, fans of Dungeon Siege III will have a bit more game to play around in. A DLC pack, with the loot-tastic title Treasures of the Sun, is coming for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Like all good expansions, the DLC will add "several hours" of gameplay in addition to several other nice perks, all for $9.99.
Dungeon Siege 3 is here, a distinct departure from the previous games but still retaining the classic Action/RPG feel. We dive into the game's online four player co-op and two player local co-op. Does the game make you feel like a hero...or just a mule?
Dungeon Siege 3 is out this week on the 360, PS3 and PC. To celebrate the four player co-op title we've got a great giveaway for our readers. What's up for grabs? We've got two PS3 copies of the game as well as a PC copy of Dungeon Siege 3...2...and 1! That's a lot of loot!
Dungeon Siege 3 is out today on the PC, PS3 and 360 - and while the console versions controls are solid and satisfying, the PC version appears to have frustrated gamers if you use anything other than a gamepad. You know, like a keyboard and mouse. One Co-Optimus Editor had this to say:
The first commercial for Dungeon Siege 3 has just hit the internet and it leans a bit on the lighter side of gaming. The commercial showcases two gamers taking on the bad guys in a real world/video game cross over. Best of all, they co-op the whole way through. Obviously that's a big focus for Dungeon Siege 3 with both couch and online co-op support, though the commercial takes a dig at other games that have recently been omitting the couch mode.
Heads up in anticipation of the June 21st release of 4 player co-op Dungeon Siege 3, we've got the demo release date scoop for you. Square-Enix released a newsletter with dates to look forward to in demo-land. Beware, Xbox 360 owners get the demo first for one week, followed by a PS3 and PC release.
The latest trailer for Dungeon Siege 3 is out, and we finally get to see all four heroes is action together. Lucas, Anjali, Rienhart, and Katarina will join forces on June 21st. Maybe then we will finally find out what's up with the giant black bird.
The last vignette from Dungeon Siege 3 focuses on one of the earliest revealed characters, Anjali, the Archon. She's a staff-wielding sorceress that can take on a fire elemental form. I had the chance to play through an early level with her and Lucas Montbarron at an Obsidian event a few months ago. The two characters complimented each other nicely. Lucas's strong attacks benefited from Anjali's ranged assault in co-op play.
The Manx is out of the bag. The fourth character rounding out the Dungeon Siege 3 cast is one Reinhart Manx. He joins Lucas Montbarron, the warrior; Anjali, the fire spirit; and Katarina the gunslinger. He's a magic user with some powerful melee capabilities. In other words, he punches people...with magic! Keep reading to watch the video.
Good news and bad news, potential dungeon siegers. First, the good news. Gamers who pre-order Dungeon Siege 3 through Steam will receive free digital copies of Dungeon Siege 1 and Dungeon Siege 2. Awesome. All PC versions of DS3 will also "include a host of Steamworks features, including auto-updating, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud support, downloadable content and more." Hooray!
A new character vignette has been released for Dungeon Siege 3. This latest video focuses on Lucas Montbaron, the sword and board character we covered in our hands-on preview. Square Enix released a video revealing a new gun-toting character a few weeks ago. It's a little surprising that this latest vid features Lucas, who was the first character announced for the game. The vignette is nice enough, but we've known about Lucas for months now. Hopefully we get some juicier information in the next short, like maybe the identity of the fourth character.
We had a hands on preview of Dungeon Siege 3 a few weeks ago. We covered two of the four playable characters: Lucas, a warrior; and Anjali, a fire sorceress. Square Enix has been keeping the identity of the remaining characters under wraps. Today, they released a trailer showcasing Katarina, a pistol-packing warrior who adds gunplay to the mix of sword and sorcery combat. She's even got a puppy! A giant, man-eating puppy! The new trailer shows off some of her moves and abilities. It looks like Katarina will be a welcome addition in the fight against Jeyne Kassynder.
