The Gunstringer DLC is Available Now

The Gunstringer got itself a little bit of DLC last week, in case you missed it.  The new content is called "REAL BIG SHOOTN'."  It's in all caps, so you're supposed to scream when you say it.  You can pick it up for a paltry 240 MSP ($3 bucks).  The new content will pit you against Mad Dog McDog and offer a variety of shooting gallery challenges that will test your air-pistolling precision.

Still has a sissy mode.

Gunstringer Dev Blog Taunts Hardcore Gamers

The Gunstringer's coming, and he's bringing a hellacious Hardcore Mode with him.  Fresh from the Twisted Pixel blog, game designer Dan Teasdale has a challenge for all the hardcore gamers out there.  (Never mind that  most hardcore gamers would rather gnaw their own thumbs off than play a Kinect game.)   Mr. Teasdale first and foremost reminds us that the game is meant to be enjoyed by everyone.  There's even a No-Fail-Mode, so  if you want to co-op with your dog, go ahead.  But if you're made of sterner stuff, he's got a mode (and a 50 point achievement) for you.

Twisted Pixel's upcoming Kinect on-rails shooter called The Gunstringer has gotten a release date.  It'll be hitting the Xbox 360 on September 13th and retail for $39.99.  As you know, the game was originally slated to be a downloadable title, but was revealed at E3 to be a full retail game.

E3 2011 - The Gunstringer Hands-On Preview and Co-Op Confirmation

I went hands on with The Gunstringer at E3 2011, or rather, hands off since you aren't actually touching anything while playing the Kinect enabled game.  The Twisted Pixel developed game oozed their style right from the get go as you take control of the Gunstringer in a four act play, complete with audience, applause and a narrator that reminds you of every western voice over ever heard.

The Gunstringer Screens, Trailer All Strung Up For You

The first title for Kinect by Twisted Pixel (the geniuses responsible for 'Splosion Man), The Gunstringer is showing off some of its charm in a very entertaining demo trailer and with screenshots of a mighty wacky wavy inflatable arm flailing tube man. I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing from the unconventional trailer that the brilliant minds of Twisted Pixel have put together to bring The Gunstringer to life, as well as the limited number of screenshots we've seen so far.
