32 Songs Will be Removed from The Beatles: Rock Band Store

Licensing agreements are a tricky thing. Releasing licensed songs via some medium typically entails setting term limits for how long those songs can be sold. This is an issue that Harmonix first came across three years ago with content for their games, and it's still an issue today. On May 5, 2016, 32 songs from The Beatles: Rock Band will be removed from the store and will not be available for purchase again.

PS4 Rock Band 4 Players Now Able to Export Rock Band 1 Tracks

Harmonix fulfills their promise to export legacy tracks for Rock Band 4, allowing players to download 47 songs from the first Rock Band. Currently, this is only available for PS4 players, but Harmonix has stated that it will eventually arrive on the Xbox One. In order to download the tracks, players need to use the same profile that completed the export offer. If you didn’t already complete export the tracks, unfortunately you are out of luck. The developer does not have plans to make the export offer available again at this time.

We all but thought that the music genre was dead but Rock Band 4 proved to us otherwise, folks still enjoy their fake plastic instruments with friends. And Warhammer: EoTV came out of nowhere to be one of the best co-op games we played this year.

Mad Catz Discusses Rock Band 4's Instrument Improvements

Excited for the new Rock Band 4 coming out later this year? Thankfully, we have Mad Catz producing some quality controllers this time around for fans to really rock out on. With reduced technical issues to deal with, the developers reiterated that they didn't want to innovate for innovation's sake. While the devices have been upgraded slightly since the last title, the same general look and feel of each will feel familiar. For longtime fans of Rockband, all these new changes sound very promising.
