With the recent release of Crackdown 3, Crackdown 2 is now Backwards Compatible and has dropped to the always reasonable price of nothing. Crackdown 2 was originally released for Xbox 360, so seeing Microsoft not only expand their current library on the Xbox One, but making sure anyone can play their games is great news for all Xbox users.
In order to snag a copy of Crackdown 2, one must log into their Xbox account, navigate to the game and press the download button - easy work with a great reward. In this case, “free” does in fact mean ‘FREE’ so you don’t even need an Xbox Live Gold membership to snag the game. While it is not the most recent entry in the series, Crackdown 2 was reviewed by a number of us here at Co-Optimus and received very high praise. That review can be found in whole here.
