Genshin Impact continues to thrive even as its developer, HoYoVerse, puts out new games like Honkai: Star Trail and the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero. The new version 4.2 update is titles "Masquerade of the Guilty." It concludes Fontaine's main storyline, adds Furina and Charlotte as playable characters, and lots more.
"Masquerade of the Guilty" features:
- The climax of Fontaine's main storyline, with the arrival of Teyvat's biggest crisis the Traveler has ever met
- Furina, the Hydro Archon, and Charlotte, the ace reporter, become playable
- 2 new regions with a high tower, the foggy forest, a roiling lake, and more World Quests to explore
- More adventures and seasonal events, including a fantastical adventure with Freminet and a clockwork penguin, a new Fungi event, and a photography event in Fontaine
