'Adventures' Update Arrives in Vampire Survivors; 'Emergency Meeting' DLC Announced

Head out on an adventure with local co-op friends, and get ready for adventures in space too!

Last month, Italian developer Poncle promised that Vampire Survivors would be getting a new mode called Adventures, and that mode has now been added to the Xbox and Steam versions of the game. That would be exciting enough, but the developer also announced that new Last of Us-themed DLC called "Emergency Meeting" will be released on December 18. Vampire hunters will be busy this month!

The Adventures update features:

  • TEST YOUR METTLE! Embark on a self-contained adventure starring different members of the Survivors crew and fight your way to the finale.

  • START AFRESH! Start from scratch, overcoming customised challenges with a unique arsenal of weapons and upgrades – without losing your main game progress.

  • COMES FREE WITH UPDATES AND DLCs! Future Adventures will be included with regular free updates and DLCs (just like new weapons, characters, items etc.) adding an hour or two of additional content.

  • THREE LAUNCH ADVENTURES AWAIT! With the v1.8 update players can dive into a handful of Adventures right away, two for the base game and one Legacy of the Moonspell Adventure for owners of the DLC.

Note that Adventures mode must be unlocked by beating the Boss Rash level of the main game. Hence, we have no Adventures-specific screenshots to share with you just yet.

The update is out now on Xbox and Steam, and will arrive on Switch and mobile in the future.

As for the "Emergency Meeting" DLC, it will include:

  • Vampire Survivors Emergency Meeting

  • 9 Totally Trustworthy New Characters: Crewmate Dino, Engineer Gino, Ghost Lino, Shapeshifter Nino, Guardian Pina, Impostor Rina, and Scientist Mina (2 characters have yet to be revealed.)

  • 15 New Weapons: Transform your tasks into powerful weapons to defend yourself from Impostors, Shapeshifters, and all manner of extra-terrestrial weirdos. Blast away baddies with the supermassive sound waves of your Report! weapon, slice angry aliens in half with Lucky Swipe, and drop duplicitous foes to their doom with Just Vent. Lonely Survivors should seek out Mini Crewmates to empower their Task-based weaponry (or just for general companionship).

  • A Brand New, Perfectly Safe Stage: Polus Replica - an eerily accurate replica of the scientific base on Polus. This planet is packed with bizarre biomes ripe for exploration by Survivors and Crewmates, with tasks and treasure chests galore. Unfortunately, it's also accidentally being invaded by your average space dwellers, like aliens, robots, and ducks. Expect the unexpected and do NOT trust the bins. Never trust the bins. Or the chicken nuggets. In fact, it's a good idea to remain alert at all times and not trust anything.

The "Emergency Meeting" DLC will arrive on Xbox and Steam on Monday, December 18. Switch and mobile releases will follow later.

Vampire Survivors sells for $4.99 on XboxSwitch, and Steam. The game supports 4-player local co-op. We'll have a full co-op review soon!
