For those of you who have Steam (and if you don't, it's free to download), the offering of the weekend is Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Steam is offering the multiplayer portion of the game as a free to play game for the weekend, until Sunday at 1 PM PST. In addition, the game will be on sale for 33 percent off the standard price, bringing the regular edition down to $40 and the Digital Deluxe Edition down to $54. The discounted price will be available through Monday, February 25th. That means if you liked the game enough during your free play experience, then you can still purchase it for a discounted price after the freebie expires.
In case you missed our Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 review you can find it here. We didn't gush over the game, but for a free weekend game, it is probably worth taking a look into. The game for PC features up to four player online cooperative play or four player LAN cooperative play. The cooperative play is a variant of the zombie classic we have come to love (or hate) from Call of Duty, with the open world Tranzit mode being the newest addition. Happy gaming.
