Stop me if you've heard this before: Call of Duty DLC that has been available on the Xbox 360 for a month is now available on PS3 and PC. You have to love those timed exclusives. CoD: Black Ops 2's "Uprising" map pack includes four new multiplayer maps and a new co-operative Zombie map.
A New Black Ops 2 Title Update hit both the PS3 and Xbox 360 recently, developer Treyarch is adding even more enhancements to the game. In addition to extra fixes and balancing, a brand new game mode involving time limits has been introduced!
The second map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, titled "Uprising," was released a couple weeks back on the Xbox 360. This $15 pack included with it a new co-op mode, Mob of the Dead, that kept with the Black Ops zombie theme we've previously seen, but with an Italian twist this time around. Set in the 1920s on the well-known prison island of Alcatraz, players step into the role of one of four gangsters (each voiced by a famous celebrity) and try to fight their way out. Nasty traps, gnarly weapons, and plenty of barbed wire covered undead inmates lie in wait for you and your friends.
I have to give Treyarch props, they've really come up with some unique and inventive mini-campaigns for their four player co-op mode in the Call of Duty game's they've developed. It's unique and fun content, like that found in the original Black Ops DLC, Escalation, which featured Hollywood stars Danny Trejo, Michael Rooker, Robert Englund, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. While that group fought off Nazi Zombies, the new content featured in the Uprising DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has a whole new cast facing off against a whole new menace - Mobster Zombies.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will receive another installment of DLC in less than two weeks. The latest digital offering from the ballistic behemoth will feature four new multiplayer maps and one hot new Zombie mode. The "Uprising" map pack will take the industry's most popular multiplayer versus gameplay to several locations around the world. Co-op players will be treated to a Zombie version of Alcatraz in the new undead game mode, "Mob of the Dead."
A new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 patch is incoming, this time featuring the free Nuketown 2025 Zombies map for all Xbox 360 users! We have the full list of notes on the changes/tweeks being made, so take a minute to read on.
The Xbox Live Marketplace has been hopping all week. So far there have been daily deals on games from the Resident Evil, Assassin's Creed, and Halo franchises. Today, the Call of Duty series is getting the discounted treatment. The military shooter juggernaut offers plenty of co-op, from the Zombie modes of the Treyarch developed Word at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops 2, to the Spec Ops modes of Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 and 3.
For those of you who have Steam (and if you don't, it's free to download), the offering of the weekend is Call of Duty Black Ops 2. We get tips from time to time for fan films based on popular co-op video game franchises. Sometimes the efforts are pretty amateur, though admirable, and other times they are simply slick. This fan film based on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's zombies mode falls towards the latter. The film by Jason Rosete features three agents on a mysterious island on some sort of mission - only to discover the island is infested with glowing eyed zombies. Time to team up (co-op) and kick some zombie butt.
