It's time to strap on our unlicensed nuclear accelerators, and clear our minds as Ghostbusters the Videogame hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PS2 this week. There's also a PC version coming out, which we originally thought had co-op, but reports are coming in that's simply not the case.
Right now we all should have been knee deep in xenomorph carcasses. Aliens Colonial Marines was originally planned for an early June release, but has since all but disappeared from release schedules. Battleforge has had quite the wild ride in it's two months of existence. The game launched back in April to great reviews, but users and reviewers complained about the initial costs combined with the costs of booster packs. Sometime ago we told you that Gauntlet DS appeared to have been cancelled. Retail listings were pulled, and there was no longer any publisher information. There appears to be some good news though, as an astute Joystiq reader noticed the game appeared back on the ESRB website under a new publisher.
Some people may have missed it, but a demo for Guitar Hero Smash Hits was released on Xbox Live Arcade during E3. Containing three tracks; Franz Ferdinand’s “Take Me Out,” Wolfmother’s “Woman” and Kiss’ “Rock and Roll All Nite.”, rockers can get a taste of the upgraded "classic" songs from previous Guitar Hero titles.
While poking around for information from Frozenbyte, the developers of the beautiful game Trine, we learned a few things we had incorrect from our sources. First, we were excited about both online, and offline co-op with an arcade title. As we understood this was the case, it caught us by surprise when we learned the game was only going to feature Offline co-op at launch. It was mentioned that Online co-op may be patched after release, but they were unable to give us any more details.
