System Era Softworks' "sandbox adventure" game, Astroneer, is finally out of Early Access today and hits full 1.0! For this week's "Let's Play Co-Op," we decided to hop back in and kick the tires (and dig some holes underneath said tires).
Astroneer, everyone's favorite game about being a wacky astronaut, will be released in full just a few months from now. No longer will your terraforming be plagued by thoughts surrounding the impermanence of Early Access. Instead, come February 6th, 2019, you can scour a planet for resources with the knowledge that all is as it should be.
Astroneer, a slightly more whimsical take on the whole survival genre, has been chugging along in Steam's Early Access program since late 2016. Where many titles have floundered when given this amount of public development time, Astroneer has managed to stay in the public eye and, if Steam reviews are to be believed, maintained a good relationship with its community.
Explore new worlds, deform their terrain, and make your very own lunar lander in Astroneer, which is now available via Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview. I spent a little time this AM checking the game out and, so far, I'm liking it. As opposed to something like Starbound or a number of other crafting/exploration titles ...
Starting next Friday, December 16, you and your fellow space-faring friends will be able to check out System Era's exploration/adventure game, Astroneer, as the title officially enters Steam Early Access and the Xbox/Windows 10 Game Preview program on that day.
This December as we stress and clamber for the best gift to get our loved ones in true holiday spirit, System Era Softworks will be giving their own present to the world in the form of Astroneer: a space exploration-meets-Minecraft simulation game.
