Harmonix has announced that a new Spotlight Pass will be incoming for popular garage band simulator, Rock Band 4. A fairly lean season pass, it will grant purchasers permanent access to eight new songs over a course of eight weeks.
Since the game's release last October, Harmonix has added over 160 songs to Rock Band 4's already massive list of songs. This past weekend, they added three more from Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, and Slipknot in recognition of the "Ozzfest Meets Knotfest" that took place in San Bernardino, CA, bringing the total up to 172.
Harmonix fulfills their promise to export legacy tracks for Rock Band 4, allowing players to download 47 songs from the first Rock Band. Currently, this is only available for PS4 players, but Harmonix has stated that it will eventually arrive on the Xbox One. In order to download the tracks, players need to use the same profile that completed the export offer. If you didn’t already complete export the tracks, unfortunately you are out of luck. The developer does not have plans to make the export offer available again at this time.
Rock Band 4 is just a few days from release, but you can still enjoy some pre-order goodies like exclusive tracks for the Xbox One version. Pre-order the game via Xbox Live and you'll get 12 songs from artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Interpol, and My Morning Jacket.
Start warming up those vocal cords, tuning the guitars, and tightening those drum skins, Harmonix has revealed Rock Band 4's final setlist when the game arrives next month. I know I'll be crooning along to Presley's "Suspicious Minds" and Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl."
The return of guitar slinging, drum bashing, and mike toting days are almost upon us once again. Rock Band 4 is right around the corner, and so is its current list of tracks for people to enjoy.
