Welcome to another edition of Beyond Co-Op, the weekly news pieces that takes a look at interesting happenings around the video game industry that may or may not pertain to cooperative gaming. It was a surprisingly quiet week, most likely due to PAX East happening right now in Boston. While a few announcements have come out of the show, Borderlands being the biggest, there are some others that flew under the radar for us.
While the internet continues to patch up its wounded ego over the whole Facebook/Oculus fiasco, we've been playing our co-op games with big grins on our faces. But since not all games have co-op play (gasp), Beyond Co-Op is here to tease you with some of the more noteworthy news bits from the previous week. Sit back and see how the other side lives.
Another week has come and gone, but Beyond Co-Op will keep you (somewhat) up to date with the current events going on around the video games industry. We find some interesting news around the gaming and entertainment industry that may not directly pertain to cooperative gaming culture, and relay their messages here. This week, two popular fighting games are shown some respect in the pro community, Microsoft addresses some issues people are having with the "Games With Gold" program, and a gamer like you and I finally reached their extremely impressive gamerscore goal.
Welcome to Beyond Co-op, the weekend piece that gathers up some of the more interesting non-co-op news from around the industry. This weekend is full of S’s between Season updates, Sony announcing it’s March line-up for PS Plus, and Swords and Soldiers II announced for the WiiU.
Another weekend has arrived and not only does it bring with it the opportunity to enjoy some co-op gaming, but a chance to catch up on all the other news from the past week. Presented here for your reading pleasure is Beyond Co-Op, our weekly feature highlighting some of the non co-op related news that's been going on. This week we'll be looking at news of Irrational Games' closing down, the Xbox One getting a system update, a documentary covering the development and production of The Last of Us, and Atlus' future is secured.
Welcome to 2014 and the latest edition of Beyond Co-Op, our week's end news piece that accumulates a few of the more interesting non co-op stories from the past several days. With the end of 2013, there were a lot of "best of" lists and "what to expect for gaming in 2014" going around. Once you get past those, however, there were a couple pieces of note, like a piece of malware stealing WoW players' account information and a new Ace Attorney game in the works.
Welcome to Beyond Co-Op, the weekly piece that looks at interesting news around the gaming industry that may or may not directly pertain to cooperative gaming. With the holiday break right around the corner, things were mostly quiet around the web. Though a few companies took the opportunity to set the stage for what's coming in 2014.
So we can pretend all games can get along in this melting pot of a market, we present the latest edition of Beyond Co-Op, our weekly round-up of single player and competitive multiplayer news. We might even talk about that secret game the cool kids play in the park. Bases ball? Something like that. Or maybe Game of Thrones and Firefly are much more interesting.
