Few Details, Lots Of Content

[E3 2019] - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order DLC Revealed

The upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will have additional character packs available after release as DLC. These packs were revealed as part of Nintendo’s E3 event but few details were provided, with the official webpage for the game stating that the game will feature “The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the X-Men, and more!” However the post then goes on to outline that you can “Then expand your ultimate alliance with the paid Expansion Pass, which includes upcoming DLC content from popular franchises like the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Marvel Knights.”

And... some other features? Maybe?

[E3 2019] - Marvel's Avengers Will Have 4 Player Online Co-Op

This week, Crystal Dynamics and Square-Enix finally pulled back the curtain on their upcoming Marvel's Avengers game... sort of. During Square-Enix's Monday night press conference, some time was spent to talk around the title a whole bunch without saying much of anything really substantive. The few details we got from it all is that it will have four player online co-op, it looks like a third-person action game, there are plans in place for continued content updates after its release (it sounds like it may be similar to Destiny or Anthem), and it'll be out May 15, 2020.

LEGO Marvel Collection Hits PS4 and Xbox One Next Month

If you were thinking, "man, I can't wait for 'Avengers: Endgame' and would really like to hop into some Marvel games before it comes out in April," good news! Marvel/TT Games/WB Interactive Publishing just announced the LEGO Marvel Collection, which compiles LEGO Marvel Super HeroesLEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, and LEGO Marvel's Avengers into one package, including all DLC previously released for those games. The bad news is that Disney now owns those thoughts under copyright laws, so please turn your brain over to them.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Coming Exclusively to Switch Next Year

While there were a number of exciting moments during this year's Game Awards, perhaps one of the more memorable ones for us was the reveal of a new Ultimate Alliance game, aka MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order. It should come as no surprise that plot of this game - following on the heels of "Avengers: Infinity War" - revolves around Thanos and his collection of cult-like followers, the titular Black Order.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 Both Delisted From Digital Platforms

It appears Activision's license with the Marvel franchise has expired, as their recent reissues of the popular action-RPGs, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, have been pulled from Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store. The good news is that if you bought them from any of those sources prior to today, you should still have access to them.

Time to bust out your minifig checklist.

Cloak & Dagger DLC Out For LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

You know, I'm really starting to like reporting on news for LEGO games.  The stories are never life-changing, per se, but there's something comforting in the knowledge that, no matter what's going on in the world, Traveller's Tales is somewhere out there figuring out a way to condense a beloved (or relatively unknown) character into a virtual minifigure.
