New Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Video Introduces... Everything!

It's a Gravity Slam. Ok, it's a Butt Slam.

Heard of this new Borderlands game coming out in mid-October? In case you haven't, Sir Hammerlock and Mr. Torgue are here to fill you in. A new video narrated by the two DLC stars gives a fantastic overview of the pre-sequel, introducing you to Pandora's moon Elpis and all of the fun, explodey things you'll find on the low-gravity hunk of space rock.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place in-between the original Borderlands and Borderlands 2, hence the name that kind of contains both "prequel" and "sequel". Since moons aren't planets, one of the biggest changes in the gameplay is the lowered gravity. Jumps are more jumpier, double jumps are a thing, and there's even a special Gravity Slam move that lets you squish enemies like the bugs they are.

Just about everything that made Borderlands and its sequel so good are making a comeback, including four player co-op, all-new playable characters, badass ranks, sweet skill trees, tons of things to shoot and bajillions of weapons to shoot them with. A new weapons grinder lets you toss crummy guns inside to turn them into slightly less crummy guns, sort of like a recycling program that encourages killing. There are also new vehicles to drive across the low-gravity moon, and it seems they can butt slam, too!

The video is a good nine and a half minutes long and features a ton of in-game footage. It also features a lot of Torgue's signature yelling. Totally worth it to hear a solid summary of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It's time to get psyched!
