Co-Op Release Alert: Gunstar Heroes

Just a friendly reminder that the two player co-op Gunstar Heroes hits the Xbox Live Arcade today for 400 .  The game will launch on the PlayStation Network tomorrow.  Gunstar Heroes features enhanced graphics as well as online and local co-op play.

Gunstar Heroes is a classic Sega Genesis title which is similar in nature to games like Contra, but has one major difference - a health meter.  This puts less stress on avoiding bullets and allows players to focus on taking out the bad guys.  You'll also be able to improve your character and save your progress as you go.

Already bought it and played the first level. Great game but the graphics filter sucks, as with previous Genesis arcade games. I prefer the original pixelated look.

The price seems right. If its $5.00 on PSN I will probably pick it up.

Someone needs to release an old school controller for the 360. There are too many good games on Live to not have a functional D-Pad.

I'm using the Street Fighter 4 fightpad. Works great.

I have the wiiware version which is a straight port, its pretty damn lame if you ask me, I love arcade but this one is more nostalgia than anything. Maybe the enhanced options will make it less boring but the sound and gameplay of the old was painful.

You would think they would patch the USB port stuff.. Its just silly to have to unplug stuff that you usually just leave plugged
