Really? You serious? What games outside of Gears of War 1 & 2 has he been lead designer? And while GoW 1 & 2 are fun. I disagree to them being "some of the greatest co-op games of our generation". there have been WAY better co-op games before and since Gears 1 & 2.

If I can find the link again, i think it was either The Edge or Joystiq that leaked out that a Gears 3 teaser was due to hit Xbox Live in Early April, and that the release date will be in April 2011. The reason for the next year date was because Microsoft did not want too many big games cutting into the profits of Project Natal.

I'm not sure, maybe with E3 coming this will change.But there aren't a lot of AAA titles coming out in the fall, is there?

Halo Reach and Fable 3 are big enough I think.

I think they said they WON'T reveal this till they are at E3. April's fools anyone?

He's done quite a few games actually, mostly older PC titles like Jazz Jack Rabbit, Tyrian, and the Unreal series.

I think Gears of War 2 is pretty much the pinnacle in terms of co-op games this gen. Not only is cooperative play integrated into the story, there's a special co-op mode. You have split screen and online play as well as a mix of both for the mode. So I stand by my statement.

the announcement is NEXT thursday so i doubt its an april fools joke. it would be pretty silly of jimmy fallon to make a fake announcement like this. obviously he's going to have a lot of new people (gamers) watching that night and if cliffy b doesn't announce anything, that makes jimmy fallon look very bad. i'm sure he's looking to retain new audiences, and not drive them away for good.

@WildCardZen: i think that was posted here as well. that's why i'm betting on gears 3.

If it's Gears of War 3, then I will be bucking the "no-Gears" agreement with my wife and finally getting in on this. I told her that if they made three of these games, then the third one would be so polished and so co-op that I couldn't resist. Let's see.

I hope to god its GOW3, then i'll be very happy about it . It wouldn't surprise me though if they show a mini teaser trailer for the Jimmy Fallon show & then show a extended teaser trailer at E3.

You never know lol. Halo: Reach & Fable 3 will most likely be showen, but games will be added as to the show as it draws closer.

gears of war 3 is coming out april 2011, they wanted it to come out sooner, but microsoft don't want compeition from Reach, and they wnat christmas to be all aboot natal. it's just a marketing thing

didn't Epic also make the xbox live game shadow complex.
