Wow, what a week. Not only are there something in the ballpark of 70+ regular games coming out, but we have a slew of co-op titles, including Rock Band 2 which was released yesterday for the PlayStation 3.
First up is a brand new Crash Bandicoot game called Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant. I know we reported this releasing a few weeks ago, but it appears to have been delayed slightly. You'll find the game on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Wii, DS, and PSP. But what's the co-op like?
The game features online co-op play for next-gen versions for 2 players, as well as local co-op play for all version. Your co-op partner is Crash's sister, Coco, playable for the first time in the cooperative mode. Not only does Coco make the game more inviting to pick up and play, she also brings with her a new tactile "treasure hunt" ability where one co-op partner can "jack" on the other and ride as gunner, using different ammo.
Next up is Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon for the 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2. This game features local 2 player co-op on all versions including Drop-in/Drop-out support. The co-op feature allows players to have the option of completing the game as either Spyro or Cynder, giving them more freedom to explore Spyro’s world in completely new ways.
