Space Marine's free co-op DLC is out on October 25th, that's next week for those of you without calendars. To date, details have been pretty scarce on just exactly what the four co-op mode would entail - but now a new three minute video showcasing gameplay has let out all the details.
While we previously knew there would be "two missions" - those missions are actually four separate arenas bringing the total number of maps that are playable to eight in co-op. Each arena consists of 20 waves of Orcs or Chaos (spoilerz) enemies to take down with your three of your friends. Your goal is to earn as many points as possible by completing challenges, like killing 10 enemies in 30 seconds, as well as performing kick ass things - like stomping three enemies with a jet packed marine.
Each arena promises an "exciting new twist" on gameplay. All your points and perks earned in co-op carry over to the game's versus multiplayer mode, and you'll be able to customize your marine just like the versus mode as well.
It's looking like the Exterminatus DLC for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine is much deeper than we previously had thought - and that's a good thing. We'll have our review of the game and it's co-op mode for you next week.
