Changes for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition With Update 9

The end is near

4J keeps bringing the goods when it comes to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. The last big update introduced all sorts of new things such as alchemy, enchanting, and experience points. The next proposed update for the Xbox 360 version of the game will be update 9. While we do not know exactly what 4J has in store for us with the latest update, a few snippets from Twitter tell part of a larger story.

As seen from the picture above, the main component of update 9 for will be the addition of "The End." This refers to an alternate dimension where only the well prepared (or foolish) should venture to. It features hordes of Endermen and the mythical Enderdragon for your savage amusement.

The update will feature some new items as well. Some of the items will include vines that can be climbed and spawn eggs. The spawn egg will grant players the ability to spawn monsters directly, which has a bunch of obvious uses.

The dispenser item will also be receiving a few tweaks with the latest update. After update 9, dispensers will be able to dish out spawn eggs and fire charges. Fire charges allow players the ability to set up redstone traps that can spit out incendiary grenades or creepers.

There will likely be a host of glitches to be patched up with the latest update as well. An Ender Pearl bug that occurred when the pearl was thrown should be fixed. In addition, there will be an option to reset the Nether in an already generated world. This will allow for fresh exploration of the Nether and the ability to conquer new Nether Fortresses.

In case you aren't well accustomed with the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, you can take a look at our review here. We loved the game, giving it a cooperative score of 5/5. The Xbox 360 version allows for up to four player local co-op, and the ability to play with up to eight players online. Stay tuned for more Minecraft news as it becomes available.
