It may not be a co-op release, even though it was rumored to have it, but Mass Effect 2 looks to be dominating the staff's (limited) gaming time this weekend.  Other highlights include more co-op board game action, some classic Gears of War and perhaps even some fist bump action.

Combat Arms has been pushing out monthly updates to the game, adding content and features like new weapons, kits, and even cooperative modes. Now Nexon is set for the biggest update to the game's user interface. We sat down with Graham Kays, Producer for Combat Arms, for an exclusive first look.

A few weeks back Rebellion re-released that classic Aliens vs Predator title on Steam to build up some hype for the new Aliens vs Predator game coming to 360, PS3, and PC next month.  And while the original game had a co-op style survival mode for four players, it wasn't exactly playable in the re-release due to the lack of servers.

A little while back we posted a video from Koei's upcoming XBox 360 and PS3 port of Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce that featured giant tigers, dogs, and phoenixes.  Apparently that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to mammoth denizens in the ancient world of China.  The latest video shows a few of these brobdingnagian baddies, discusses missions, and focuses on the importance of taking down your foes with a few buddies along.

In less than two months the Co-Optimus staff will descent upon Boston to bring you guys coverage of PAX East, a giant gaming convention that hopes to equal the success of the original Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle.  But before that happens the founders of Penny Arcade, who created PAX, will be honored at another gaming convention - GDC.

Codemasters has just released patch version 1.02 for the four player co-op Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising on PC.  The patch includes a host of bug fixes and tweaks, but more importantly, it includes the Overwatch DLC content.

Last week Capcom announced two brand new characters to use in Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition's Mercenaries Mode.  We had the screenshots to prove it.  Today we have two videos of each character; Excella Gionne the sexy evening gown zombie slayer, and Josh Stone the bad mouth beefy hunk of a man with a fierce elbow.  

The next Borderlands DLC has been unveiled courtesy of Destructoid.  Called The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, the content claims to have a "huge new environment" as well as plenty of experience to be earned by your level 34 to 50 character.
